I think it was Gary Halbert who first talked about neurological imprinting, copying out great sales letters from the era prior to internet marketing, as a method of learning to be a better copywriter.

I may be wrong. I learned the concept from Ben Settle, and I forget whom he attributed it to.

Whoever came up with it notwithstanding, the idea is powerful. I used something like it to get through university and this summer I'm using it as a central part of raising three functional adults to release into the wild.
