Russia says live-fire exercises carried out in Black Sea

The Russian Navy carried out live-fire exercises with anti-ship cruise missiles in the Black Sea on Thursday, July 20, the defense ministry said. Footage released by the ministry was described as showing the Ivanovets missile boat firing at a target ship in the “combat training range” of the Black Sea. The exercises come after the Russian ambassador to the United States rejected claims that Russia could target civilian ships in the Black Sea after the expiry of a grain-export deal.
