Gran Turismo is an upcoming American biographical coming-of-age sports drama film directed by Neill Blomkamp, with a screenplay by Jason Hall, Blomkamp and Zach Baylin, from a story by Hall and Alex Tse. Produced by Columbia Pictures, PlayStation Productions, Trigger Street Productions and 2.0 Entertainment, it is based on the PlayStation Studios racing simulation video game series, while inspired by the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player aspiring to be a race car driver.
