Portland Man Sells Wife For Drugs

Over the course of four months a man and a woman resided in a tent on the sidewalk across the street from my apartment in downtown Portland. Unraveling the mystery of the nightly screaming that arose from said tent took less than two weeks, and eventually my own grief/frustration/angst over the scenario, which was very clearly a man selling a woman against her will for illicit drugs, I ventured out to make it known that I understood what was happening in the hope that the victim would have an opportunity to ultimately separate herself from the situation.
