Senate Judiciary votes to advance SCOTUS ethics bill

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 11-10 Thursday to advance a bill that would establish a code of ethics for Supreme Court justices. The legislation would also create stricter rules for financial disclosures and allow the public to submit ethics complaints that would be reviewed by a randomly selected lower court.
