Nintendo Mario Artwork Using Faber Castell Black Edition Colored Pencils.

The artwork in this speed drawing video is Mario, the Nintendo character using Faber Castell Black Edition Colored Pencils. The purpose of this artwork is to help demonstrate the Faber Castell Black Edition. The paper used for this piece was the Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Velum, which is quite a smooth surface with just the perfect amount of tooth for colored pencil fan art drawings.

The full purpose of this demonstration was whilst comparing the Faber Castell Classic Red Colored Pencils agains the Faber Castell Black Edition. Initially, I reviewed both pencils over a year ago, but Faber Castell released a 100 set of the Faber Castell Black Edition. I tried for quite some time to buy the 100 set but they were incredibly difficult to find here in the UK, so as soon as they became available I purchased the set. When starting to swatch the 100 colors from the Black Edition, I thought it would be a good idea to compare them against the Classic Red set as both sets are aimed at a similar group of artists.
