GoPro in nest captures Osprey delivering fish to his mate

This spectacular footage was obtained by placing a GoPro in an osprey nest. These birds are magnificent, with a wing span of almost 2 meters (6 feet). The female can be seen waiting patiently. She chirps with excitement as her incredibly keen vision picks up her mate who is arriving with food. He lands in the nest with a half eaten crappie from the nearby lake. His barbed talons make it difficult to release the fish, but she is able to pull it from his grasp and fly to a tree to eat it. The osprey will repeat this several times a day throughout the mating season. Once paired, they are loyal for life.
