We take it back all the way to the Prohibition era and take a look at Harry Pierpont. Harry Pierpont was a bank robber active from 1921 to 1934. While at the State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana, he met John Dillinger and mentored him into the bank robber he would become. He escaped from prison several times, robbing banks in between before being caught for the last time and executed on October 17th, 1934.
