On August 15, 2022, dashcam footage shows an OHP police chase that ended in vehicle rollover and resulted in 2 fatalities.

OHP Trooper Nick Mills initially stopped the vehicle for minor traffic infractions.

Mercedes Martinez, 26, died 17 days after receiving critical injuries in the crash that night. Ethan Mestas, 22, died at the scene. The chase began in Oklahoma City and ended in Norman.
