I made this adoptable French Bulldog a ball pit with 15,000 balls because I found out he loves toys and I wanted to do something special for him so that he knows he is loved.

MEET WADE
Wade is an 5 year old French Bulldog who was rescued by Marley’s Mutts from Shafter Animal Services. Wade has Valley Fever which is permeating his toe and eye, maybe other places. You don’t often see French bulldogs in rescue and we imagine the cost to treat his illness resulted in his surrender.

According to his foster, Wade is an amazing little dog who gets along well with everyone, especially kids. He’s definitely a lap dog and loves his humans best of all. He’s easy going, has an amazing personality and doesn’t let his valley fever get him down.

That being said, his case of valley fever is pretty severe based on his test results. He CAN live a normal life, but will likely need to be on medication for the rest of it, according to his veterinarian.

HELP WADE
Wade is such an amazing dog that we want him to find his forever home. Any family would love this dog. But due to the cost of medication we are fundraising so that the forever family will not have the entire burden of paying for his treatment. Our goal is to raise $10,000.

Want to help Wade and also get some cool #DogsDayOut swag? $5 from every sale will go toward helping Wade fight Valley Fever. Check out the goods here: https://teespring.com/stores/dogsdayout

ABOUT VALLEY FEVER
Valley Fever is a disease caused by infection with a type of fungus called Coccidiodes immitis. The condition may also be called coccidioidomycosis, California disease, desert rheumatism, or San Joaquin Valley Fever. The disease is extremely common in south-central Arizona but is also frequently diagnosed in other parts of Arizona and in the desert regions of New Mexico, southwestern Texas, California, Nevada, and Utah. Parts of Mexico and Central and South America are affected, too. People and dogs are most commonly diagnosed with Valley Fever, but most mammals (including cats) can be infected.

ABOUT MARLEY’S MUTTS
Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization (30-0636031) that is concentrated on saving the lives of Kern County’s incarcerated canines. Kern County’s shelters are bursting at the seams and register some of the highest euthanasia rates in the country. They are committed to these shelter dogs simply because they have NO ONE and are closest to death. These dogs are at the shelter because they have been abandoned, lost, neglected, discarded or abused and many of them have no way out but RESCUE.
