Colonel Douglas Macgregor: TIME TO NEGOTIATE WITH PUTIN, UKRAINE CANNOT WIN THIS WAR 07.14.2023

As the war in Ukraine rages on and the mainstream media continues to insist that Russian troops are lacking morale and losing ground, it’s important to take a moment and consider how many lives are actually being affected and lost in this territorial battle.

And, contrary to reports, there are many experts and military analysts who insist the true cost of this war to Ukraine doesn’t bear thinking about, arguing that not only do they have zero chance of winning, but picking up the pieces from the remnants of what remains in Ukraine is a task that seems to have been given little consideration.
To get to the heart of the matter, I’m delighted to be welcoming back a guest who is an expert in every sense of the word and believes it is high time that negotiations with Putin begin, as the economic ramifications are beginning to mount in both Europe and the US.

Colonel Douglas Macgregor is a decorated combat veteran, retired US Army Colonel, author and foreign policy expert who is widely recognised for his leadership in the Battle of 73 Easting during the Gulf War – the US Army’s largest tank battle since World War II.

His distinguished career began in 1976 when he was commissioned into the Regular Army after completing his studies at the Virginia Military Institute and West Point.

During his 28 years of service, he held numerous leadership positions and taught in the Department of Social Sciences at West Point, while his innovative ideas on military transformation and force design have had a profound impact on the global stage, influencing policies in Israel, Russia, and China.

As an author, his groundbreaking ideas have resulted in five books, including Breaking The Phalanx and Transformation Under Fire, and seen him feature as a regular commentator on defence and foreign policy issues on various media platforms including CNN, the BBC, Sky and Fox News, most notably as the go-to guy on Tucker Carlson’s now-defunct show.

In late 2020, Douglas was appointed Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defence by then-President Donald Trump, a position he held until the end of the Trump administration, while he has also served as an expert witness before the Senate and House Armed Services Committees.

Douglas believes that Ukraine is being catastrophically defeated and it is only a matter of time before Russia assumes full control, while arguing that the West, in particular the US and Biden, are pretending to have built a powerful Ukrainian army.

He also suggests that far from dissension and mutiny in Russia, they are in fact a more unified and cohesive nation than at any time in the last 30 years, contrary to the false narratives surrounding events circulating in the mainstream news.

“I’d argue that Russia is stronger economically today than it was before the war began and our sanctions have been ultimately quite helpful to the Russians and they are not a part of our Western financial systems to the extent that they might have been hurt by us.”

Douglas has repeatedly called for transparency from the major media outlets, arguing they are hiding the reality of the situation, meaning most Americans cannot discern the real situation at play.

Douglas believes this whole situation will not end well and it’s unlikely Biden will see the rest of this year as America falls into turmoil amidst a spiralling debt crisis and weakening dollar.

“I don’t think Biden will make it through the year, he’ll be gone… I don’t think we’ll get to the 2024 election. I think things are going to implode in Washington before then. I think our economic financial condition is fragile, it’s going to come home to roost in ugly ways… Then I think Ukraine is going to lose catastrophically, a complete collapse.”

I really enjoyed my last conversation with Colonel Macgregor, and I know today’s livestream will thankfully provide more answers than questions. Which makes a change in a world where increasingly the narrative has been hijacked in both the mainstream news and on social media.

Colonel Macgregor is a no-nonsense character who shoots straight from the hip, a military leader more at home on the battlefield than anywhere else and it is that insight that makes him a welcome voice when it comes to the realities of war and the nuances at play.
