After their meeting in the European Parliament in Brussels, Roberta METSOLA, EP President and Igor GROSU, President of the Moldovan Parliament, give a joint press point. On 23 June 2022, the European Council granted candidate status to Moldova. It invited the European Commission to report to the Council on the fulfilment of the conditions specified in the Commission's opinion on the membership application.
