MATTHEW CHAPTER 1 (KJV) [KEY SCRIPTURES LISTED BELOW:

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

MATTHEW CHAPTER 3 (KJV)

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

9 And think not to say within yourselves, we have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

MATTHEW CHAPTER 4 (KJV)

4 But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

7 Jesus said unto him, it is written again, Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God.

8 Again, the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And said unto him, all these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve.

11 Then the devil left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

19 And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
MATTHEW CHAPTER 5 (KJV): WHAT BEING BLESSED LOOKS LIKE!
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

MATTHEW CHAPTER 5 (KJV): cont,’ why we’re commanded to Check Our Spirits to be Sure we’re of GOD.

20 For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there you remember that thy brother has ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shall not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

31 It has been said, whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32 But I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
