LIFE in a TRADITIONAL INDONESIAN VILLAGE | Flores | Ngada Culture and Matriarchy

We visited a traditional village in the Ngada Regency of Flores, Indonesia. We learned about the culture/traditions and were able to have a lot of interaction with the local people.

In this video, we'll be teaching you about the traditional culture and beliefs. We'll also be spending the night in one of the villages and showing you the ceremony they have to welcome guests. One important thing to note about these villages is that they actually run under a matriarchal system (matriarchy). We'll dive into that during the video!

Some of the footage in this video is incredibly raw and involves the use of animals during traditional ceremonies. We included this footage because we want to give an accurate representation of the culture and belief system that is different from our own.
