Polk Township Conditional Use Hearing - July 17, 2023

A 90 Megawatt (MW) solar ‘farm’ is proposed to cover 486 acres approximately over two townships. Approximately 200 acres are located in Polk Township. The solar ‘farm’ proposed substation is expected to be 5-10 acres and will be located in Chestnut Hill Township.

On July 17, 2023, the first conditional use hearing was held for Polk Township. The next conditional use hearing for Polk Township will take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 6 PM at the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company located at 511 Interchange Rd, Kresgeville, PA. Please note the original date was supposed to be Aug 29, but it was changed.

Polk Township residents may get a copy of Effort Solar LLC’s Conditional Use Application by contacting the Township.
