Weirdest SEGE Interview? John Hancock at Southeast Game Exchange

One of the great things about going to video game conventions is being able to meet up with friends and extended family from across the country.

One of the things I love about the Southeast Game Exchange is how much it just feels like a family reunion. Sure, we're all there to either buy or sell, but after the show is over at the end of the night, we love hanging out with each other. This is what the community is all about, fellowship, bonding, laughing and having a good time, and just enjoying each other's company separate from even the hobby we all love so very much.

I also love the fact that this group, my friends, none of us hesitate to bust on the other. Just about anything and anyone is fair game at any moment. We don't take ourselves too seriously, we laugh hard, we have lots of fun, and we just enjoy ourselves.

One person we've gotten really close with in recent years has been the immortal John Hancock. We always love spending time with John, there's so much that we have in common and some interests that we share. Recently, we got to hang out at the 2023 Southeast Game Exchange, which was such a total blast. One of the things that stuck out about John this trip though, he seemed a lot more.... Animated? This led to one of The Weirdest Interviews I've ever done with John Hancock at the Southeast Games Exchange

John has actually started creating some really cool merchandise, outside the norms of what most people, and most YouTubers, offer. Sure we all have shirts. Some of us have hats, coffee cups, cell phone cases, and koozies. But what John has done has been to commission someone to create a plushie of him. And it was a darn good one too!

The attention to detail that has gone into this thing is pretty stinking cool. It has his logo on the hat, and his beard, which also even features a little bit of a salt and pepper look. Overall, it was hilarious to see, and I hope he has nothing but success with selling it.
