Reckless Driver Changing Lanes Causes A Car to Flip Off Road

Occurred on June 20, 2016 / Route 25E, Bean Station, Tennessee, USA

Info From Licensor: "Driving to Asheville, NC with wife & Sister-in-Law. I was in the back seat at the time. The old blue pickup truck is passed by a newer pickup. The driver of the blue pickup decides to speedup and re-pass the newer pickup. When he swerves in from of the other pickup he looses control, compensates to the left, then over compensates and looses control on the right smashing into the white sedan and sending it into the side of the road with a draining ditch and large rocks. The sedan hits the hits and immediately flips over 3 times. With assistance the driver is able to be extricated. His injuries appear not too serious. His partner however was more seriously injured and required the assistance of the arriving Fire & Paramedics to be extricated. Both were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Blue Pickup or his small child in the passenger seat were not injured. The Pickup driver claimed he had a tire blowout that caused his loss of control." - Desmond Duncker
