Spearfishing ballyhoo & finding a reef anchor

This is a short video of a little trip to the patch reefs off Key Largo. The next day we were leaving for our trip to Spain and decided to pay the reef a quick visit. The seas were rough so we only stayed out for about 30min before calling it a day.

I had some luck finding a reef anchor which got me pretty excited. I had been looking for one! I saw plenty of short mutton snapper and lots of small yellowtail snapper but nothing worth shooting.

This is the first time I got to get my speargun wet since moving to Key Largo so there was no way I was going to let the day end without shooting at least something. I saw a ballyhoo and we need ballyhoo for trolling baits so I thought I might as well shoot one before heading in for the day.

It wasn't the most eventful day and this isn't a very informative video but I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless. I promise there will be some epic videos being posted soon!
