Lobster and Spearfishing {Catch Clean Cook} Tavernier Key

In this episode I run out of Tavernier Key with my buddy Chris to use his hooka rig to find some lobster and do some spearfishing. We will the cooler with lobster and fish so enjoy this catch clean cook!

In this video:
We head out of Tavernier Creek, which goes right by the Tavernier Creek Marina and run a few miles out closer to the reefs edge pretty much directly south east of Tavernier Key. The first spot we put the hooka rig into the water is a little grassy ledge where I have seen lobster in the past. And yes we catch some lobster.

Less than 10 minutes underwater and this catch and cook is already underway. I hope you are ready for a catch clean cook because it's official! We then move spots to find more lobster using the hooka rig, oh I can't wait to show how to boil lobster and how easy it is to boil lobster.

I also spot a mutton snapper and mangrove snapper. Good thing I have my speargun while on the hooka rig! Spearfishing time! I take a couple shots and fill the box with some snapper. Catch and Cook. Catch clean and cook. It's going to be so good.

We decide to call it a day early and stop looking for lobster and spearfishing since we have enough for this catch and cook. We run back to tavernier key and make our way north along the bay back to my marina.
