In this video:
I start the day in this part 2 like I started the day before. I wake up early to go fishing and stop at the tom thumb to pick up some beer. Then I make my way north in Key largo to Craigs place where we load up the boat and catch some live bait. Pilchards in this case.

About 15 minutes from leaving the docks we run into some boat engine issues. It was overheating, but did some of this and did some of that and presto. It's back in action. We run out into the Atlantic ocean through john pennekamp. Which is a state park in key largo.

We start running out towards the islamorada humps. On the way out we begin to troll and the seas start to pick up. Instead of getting soaked going to the humps we decide to stay at the reefs edge and go fish for yellowtail snapper instead between 45-115 feet of water.

Using live pilchards as our live bait it's not long before the cero mackerel show up. At first we thought the cero mackerel were kingfish but nope! We try to troll offshore for an hour or so. Man I would love to catch and cook a tuna. Or catch n cook a wahoo. But we decide to go back to the reefs edge and start chunking for yellowtail snapper. The live bait also gets the mackerel very excited

Lloyd starts to catch the yellowtail snapper first and he put some flags on the boat! These are flag yellowtail! I'm stoked to finally be catching those big yellowtail. I won't be able to fry these snapper whole thou! Seems like the patch reef snapper are a bit smaller.

It was a great day of fishing with craig and this is how to catch flag yellowtail snapper when you fish with us! After I get home I fillet the snapper and fry it in this catch and cook. So it's more of a catch clean cook. It tasted amazing and I hope you enjoyed this fishing trip with South Florida Fishing Channel!
