We go fishing offshore at the Key Largo humps. Deep dropping, trolling and even get into some reefs edge fishing. The conditions were rough but we still turned this into a Catch N Cook!

In this video:
We ride out of tavernier creek and head pretty much east to the key largo humps. The wind picked up very quicky and the seas were very rough. We even took a wave over the bow at one point.

To start off this fishing trip we drop some baits deep over one of the humps. We are deep dropping in between 250 to 420 feet of water. Our first 3 deep drop drops hooked us up on a fish. Some fish break off, some get landed on the boat and released and some fish end up in the new fish bag for dinner.

There are tons of amberjack and barracuda down on the humps. I was able to capture some great underwater fishing footage using the gofishcam. This turned into some great deep dropping underwater footage.

After many times dropping our rigs deep we finally decide to start trolling. I was certain we would hook up on some mahi or tuna out at the key largo humps trolling ballyhoo, but after 3 hours we didn't have a single hit. Grrr.

We run back closer to the reefs edge and ride along the edge in 40-90 feet of water until we mark some fish. Here we drop the anchor, chum heavy and start fishing. The day is almost over, it's cold and we call it a day.

The next day we catch clean and cook our fish. We take a trip to world wide sportsman in islamorada. It's a bass pro shop. Have some drinks here and then ride back home to Key Largo. We catch and cook our fish.

The yellow eye snapper tasted crazy amazing! Such a good tasting fish, I can't wait for the weather to calm down a bit more so fishing can be more relaxing.
