Is shark better than snapper? This is the question I asked myself before this catch n cook. I was 100% sure that snapper would taste better than shark, but after this shark catch n cook I was left scratching my head...

After a slow day of fishing for snapper we catch a bonnet head shark. Now I rarely ever go fishing for sharks. Maybe one day i'll do a dedicated shark fishing episode, but this snapper fishing episode quickly turned into a shark fishing catch and cook.

So shark better than snapper?! Cmon, there's no way. But after all... this is a bonnet head shark. It is supposed to be one of the best eating sharks around. So why now I caught a bonnet head shark. Let's just do it. Let's have ourselves shark catch n cook here on the South Florida Fishing Channel!

First I will show you how to prepare shark. In this case I soak the bonnet head shark meat for 48 hours. Then I will show you how to cook shark. To cook shark I liked to throw it on a piping hot cast iron skilled and evenly cook all sides of the shark. I cook shark with the skin on.

Ok so how does shark taste? I also catch snapper and cook snapper to have a fish to compare shark to. Holy smokes this shark catch and cook was a great idea. Shark tastes good!

This won't be my last shark catch n cook! I would almost go as far as saying that shark is better than snapper. Shark is a very good eating fish! This catch n cook fishing episode was a success!
