If you want to catch grouper and have a snowy grouper catch and cook then I suggest you go deep dropping at the islamorada humps.

In this video I go over how to deep drop for grouper at the islamorada humps. The Islamorada humps have a lot of rocks and underwater mountains and ledges so you have to be careful when islamorada deep dropping so your deep drop rig doesn't get stuck at the bottom.

Deep dropping the islamorada humps can catch grouper and can catch tilefish. We catch grouper and tilefish deep dropping using the South Florida Fishing Channel chicken rig which is my favorite deep drop rig.

In the beginning of this video showing how to deep drop I go over my deep dropping setup. I use the banax 1000 electric reel, the gofish cam for underwater footage so you can see underwater footage of deep dropping.

This isn't just about how to deep drop for grouper because there are a lot of other fish down there besides snowy grouper. It can be a catch and cook for many species. This is also how to deep drop for tilefish. The deep drop rig setup is exactly the same. Even the same bait...
