SpaceX launches 54 Starlink satellites, ties record for first-stage returns

In a late-night spectacle, SpaceX successfully launched its latest batch of Starlink communication satellites from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

Originally scheduled for Friday, the mission was postponed to perform a static fire test on the rocket’s main engines, indicating a potential hardware issue, UPI reported.

However, the Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage, responsible for deploying the 54 satellites, safely returned to Earth, accomplishing a remarkable 16th consecutive launch and landing on the SpaceX drone ship named A Shortfall of Gravitas.
