NASA’s humanoid robot to be tested in Australia

Last week, NASA announced the commencement of testing humanoid robots in Australia. The focus of these tests will be on evaluating the Valkyrie robot’s capabilities for remote mobile dexterity.

The ultimate goal is to enable these robots to assume caretaking responsibilities for uncrewed offshore energy facilities.

If successful, these robots would take on hazardous tasks that are typically performed by human workers, the Jerusalem Post reported.
