Few would be happy with a car repair that allowed the same problem to return over and over again. They would have cross words with their mechanic and, likely, would never use him again. They might tell their friends the same.

As human beings, we do not tolerate failure that masquerades as a fix. However, for some strange reason, we often welcome just the very same thing when it comes to our religious choices. Many talk about how they were saved, but they are still just as captured by sin as they ever were. They talk about Christ and his power, but they don't alter their life in obedience to his Word.

Nicodemus, a Pharisee who sought Jesus' wisdom, questioned Christ's declaration that those who would see the Kingdom of Heaven must be born again.

God seeks the transformation of His children, not their stagnation. Be renewed in Christ and live as a new creature; celebrate the love of God for you that He sent His only Son to die for you. Do not wait until death, but be resurrected now to live for Him.
