Russia Says Repelled Drone Attacks Over Crimea

On Sunday, Russia announced that it had successfully intercepted and neutralized a total of ten drones in the vicinity of Sevastopol, located on the Crimea peninsula. The annexation of Crimea from Ukraine took place in 2014.

According to the Russian defense ministry, their air defense systems had shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and electronically disabled five others, Moscow Times reported.

Additionally, two naval drones were destroyed, and the attempted attack resulted in “no casualties or damage.”

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor of Sevastopol, later stated via Telegram that a tenth drone had been electronically deactivated.
