Mermaids, pirates and fishermen walked along the promenade in a bid to save the world’s oceans. The March of the Mermaids, a glittery annual spectacle, that took take place in Brighton last weekend.

Hundreds of sparkly activists were set to stroll down the promenade to the tune of drums and whistles. Complete with a picnic at Hove Lawns, before the parade towards Brighton beach, the celebrations went on into the evening. The march was accompanied by drummers with experiment "Maestro" Paul Dodd.
