Weather Alerts: A Pet Peeve!

I find these Weather Alert Day warnings to be insulting to my intelligence. They warn us to seek shelter in a thunderstorm, to move to high ground in the event of a flash flood, etc. They go too far to protect themselves from liability, We have a responsibility to under to understand the weather conditions that precipitate weather events and act accordingly.
