Prince is a Pit Bull who was trapped in a canal. He did however have a tag, so Lindy the puppy stepped up and made a new friend in order to allow the people at No Kill Kern to approach Prince in order to read his microchip number. This allowed Prince to once again be reunited with his owner!

One thing I noticed is the dog doesn't wag his tail at this man even though he clearly recognizes him! I wonder if he is a bad person and maybe he dumped the dog forgetting about the chip. I hope someone followed up on this case!

I disagree. I saw the dog look a little confused but then he/she tried to get under the fence to the man. He ran up to him and leaned into him. A definite show of affection.

Can I just make a comment that could save a dog's life? We moved last year and I took my rescue dog to our vet this year and while we were there I asked if she would make sure her info on her microchip had been update. Turns out, she either lost it, it malfunctioned or it shifted so far that nobody could find it! Had I not found that out, we would have gone happily along our way thinking she was chipped when in fact, she wasn't. PLEASE ask your vet to check your dog's chip when you take them in. By the way, I don't know if you're the people who rescued my dog five years ago or not but we adopted her from the Santa Cruz SPCA who said they got her from a shelter in Kern County they work closely with. She was evidently roaming the streets of Kern County and now, she roams the streets of everyone's heart who meets her. Kimba is the best dog! If it was you who rescued her, thank you!!! If not, thank you anyway for the great work you do.
