England Street Preacher ARRESTED For ‘Misgendering'

8 June 2021 - Incident occurred in the Briggate pedestrianised area of Leeds.
4 August 2022 - David McConnell was made a criminal at the Leeds Magistrates Court for publicly stating the truth as set out in the Holy Bible. He received a penalty of 80 hours Community Service and costs of £620 to pay.
9 March 2023 - the Three Judges at Leeds Crown Court decided he was innocent of this 'misgendering' criminal conviction.

Section 4A of the Public Order Act, 1986. Sub-section (1)(a) says: A person is guilty of an offence if, with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, he: (a) uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or (b)(relates to signs), thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress.
