The Reconciliation of Heaven and Earth Show Notes

Summary:
Is it possible that not only did mankind need reconciling after sin entered in by Adam, but also the occupants in heaven? The Bible tells of the redemptive act of Jesus Christ at Calvary, and His blood being the propitiation for sins. We also know of angels who rebelled in the ancient past, and one-third of them joined the Adversary as enemies of God and His kingdom. Could God give some of those angels an opportunity to repent and return to Him? Was reconciliation made on their behalf as well?

Takeaway:
It makes sense that if the whole family is in heaven and earth, then angels and men make up the extended family of God. I don’t mean to imply that all angels sinned or needed redemption, nor can I prove beyond a doubt that God offered redemption to angels who repented and needed it. Jesus Christ’s blood was shed to “reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth or things in heaven.” We on earth were reconciled and made a part of the family of God. Angels in heaven are part of the family of God. Perhaps reconciliation is greater than we thought!
