Angels - Sons of God and their Progeny

The lesson on July 16, 2023 was a lesson on “Angels – Sons of God and their Progeny”. Wayne introduced us to attributes of angels and how interesting their relationship to man and how they have participated in warfare in the heavens. We opened up with the fact that the Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection and when they tried to catch Jesus with an analogy, He responded with pointing out their error was the ignorance of scripture and pointed out in Matt. 22:30 for in the resurrection, they neither marry or are given in marriage, but are as the angels in of God in heaven. In our age, who are our enemies? Eph. 6:12 KJV reminds us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. In our age, we have a specific ministry as said in Eph. 3:10 KJV, To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. In Hebrews, we learned of the nature of angles in these passages in Heb. 1:4-7, 13; 2:2, 5, 7, 9, 16; 12:22; 13:2 KJV. We learned of tartarus as the special hell that God has reserved for the fallen angels in 2 Peter 2:4-6 KJV.Show more

The scripture reading was from 2 Peter 2:4-6 KJV “4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;”
