Cleveland Cavaliers Guard J.R. Smith Being Sued for $2.5 million

A man is suing Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith for $2.5 million over a confrontation the two had at a pizza shop at 4 a.m. in New York after the 12-year veteran left nightclub 1Oak. According to ESPN, Justin Brown asserts that Smith "turned down a request for a photo and then choked and struck him in his head and neck area." Smith's attorney, Alex Spiro, seems confident the lawsuit is an unfair attempt to draw cash from the Cavaliers guard, who's playing on a two-year $10 million deal.
