The basic, most fundamental step with getting one right with God: repentance. Unfortunately, like most things; within the era of disinformation; repentance has turned into a meaningless "go free card," to continue on with hedonistic living.

For all those that have never had a sense of connection to God; with 99.9999% of the time; this is a result of failure of actually making things right with Him.

It's important to keep in mind that; knowing something intellectually; has its limitations, especially when it comes to spiritual matters. Anyone can know a bunch of facts but that doesn't mean an individual understands it.

When it comes to God's truth, there are layers of complexity, that go beyond simply facts. Moreover, to have a true understanding and to be able to live it out; requires the help of the Holy Spirit.

"Jesus answered, 'Truly I tell you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again. The wind blows where it pleases and you hear its sound but you don't know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.'"

Since repentance is such a core element with being right with God, going to Heaven, as well getting God's help and blessings; having the true Biblical perspective; is vital.

To go from knowledge to understanding, keep the issue in prayer. Several aspects to keep in prayer:

1) Ask God to help you gain understanding and to learn everything there is to know about repentance.

2) Ask God to help apply repentance, on a personal level.

3) Ask God to help you with having a close relationship with Him and removing all barriers between you and Him.

It might also be necessary to go over both videos and reading material, a few times. In doing so, that "light in the attic," switches on and at that point, you have that "simply knowing" sense.

Shifting gears to the speaker of the video: Reverend Billy Graham. He was one of the most famous Christians of the 20th century and known as "America's Pastor."

Born on November 7, 1918 and officially named William Franklin Graham Jr. His parents were devout Presbyterians (Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church), who had their children pray before every meal and insisted that they learn a new Bible verse each day.

Graham grew up on a dairy farm outside Charlotte, North Carolina; milking cows and pitching hay. Despite his Presbyterian background; he was charmed by the tent revivals (also known as tent meetings), held by Mordecai Ham.

Graham was 16, at the time but it would be the biggest influence in his life; that would place him in the position of notoriety. Mordecai Ham's style and approach, with reaching non-believers; would be emulated by Graham, to reach countless souls.

Billy Graham retired from his position as president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, at 2001. That didn't keep him from doing one last final evangelical crusade in 2005 and had one last public speaking event in 2013. At 99 years of age, he passed on February 21, 2018.

Even though Reverend Graham was a vessel for God; reaching roughly 80 million people and to countless millions more, via the various forms of media; he wasn't perfect. The criticism of him being part of the Ecumenical Movement, as well as some of his associations being bad choices; are all legitimate.
