Bitcoin Price Forecast Week 13: In terms of news, this was a jam-packed week for crypto. On Thursday, the judge presiding over Ripple’s (XRP) case against the SEC ruled that secondary sales of XRP on exchanges are not a security contract. This is a HUGE win for cryptocurrency as a whole and sets somewhat of a precedent for other cryptocurrencies in the future. On this news, Bitcoin rocketed to a new yearly high of $31,700. Many cryptocurrencies across the board saw similar gains on Thursday.

On Friday, the price tumbled back down to $30K. This is likely due to the news that Binance is laying off 1,000 workers, potentially signaling distress with one of the largest crypto exchanges. Overall, the good news surrounding crypto over the past two months has overshadowed any potential bad news that has come out.

I see brighter days as we move into the latter half of summer!
