Evacuation orders for the Gavilan Fire downgraded to a warning status

In Perris, California, firefighters effectively stopped the progress of the Gavilan Fire, prompting officials to downgrade evacuation orders to warnings for the majority of the impacted area. As of Sunday morning, the fire had expanded to 250 acres and achieved a containment rate of 25%. Concurrently, other wildfires emerged in the Moreno Valley region.
