Walnuts

This is what unripe walnuts look like. The nut is inside the green peel. In autumn, the skin opens and the nut falls to the ground. Sometimes the nut falls down along with the peel. Then
the skin must be removed. This peel is similar to the skin of a tangerine or orange. Walnut skin contains a lot of iodine. There is so much iodine that your fingers are all covered in iodine if you peel a nut. A ripe walnut has a hard shell. This shell must be broken. When the walnuts are ripe, I'll show you what the walnuts look like.
