In November, Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred recommended teams expand safety netting around home plate to protect fans from batted balls or bats themselves. During a Saturday Pittsburgh Pirates–Atlanta Braves spring training game, we saw why. Thankfully, a J.J. Watt lookalike was on hand to save a young spectator from the wrath of a flying baseball bat to the face.
