Where Does Jesus Claim to Be God? Does Jesus claim to be God? Did Jesus claim to be son of god? Did Jesus claim to be God? Jesus claims to be the Son of God very clearly in the Bible.

My video today is going to look at Jesus claims to his divinity
Did Jesus himself claim to be god?
We will settle this fact very clearly by the end of the video
We also need to understand why this is very important
Especially for evangelism
This is much different then his disciples claims to his divinity
That is detailed very clearly in various books of the bible such as John 1.

You might think this is an easy question to answer
However being someone who went to seminary
This wasn't an easy question to answer
I put in hours of research for this video
And you really had to dig in scripture to see this clearly

My assumption is that if Jesus did walking around claiming to be God he would have been killed almost right away
And he almost was Killed at his first teaching in his home Synagogue in Nazareth
We will take a look at this later on

I will give the four top places Jesus did in fact claim to be God very clearly

But first we must ask why is this important
I'll give you a great example
I released a shorts video on Derek Prince speaking on Islam
and immediately was flooded with comments from Muslims

He states that Many people have no problem like Islam claiming that Jesus was a prophet or a great moral teacher teacher
But if you state that Jesus is the son of god and therefore God himself
You will see their tone change very quickly

That is because they do not believe Jesus was God
In fact in the Mosque in Jerusalem
It says inscribed upon the build "God does not need a son"

They also do not understand the concept of the trinity
That God- Jesus and the Holy spirit are separate
But all one person
So the Concept of Jesus being son of God and god at the same times doesn't make sense
I admit this is a hard concept to understand

Jesus was either lord, lunatic or a liar
Because Jesus claimed to be God very clearly as we will see in a minute
He could not have been just a prophet or moral teacher
Because we did claim to be God
That would make argue out that idea he was a moral teacher- Because he would be a liar
And if he wasn't God but claimed to be god that would mean he was delusional or a lunatic.

This leaves only one option
Jesus is the son of God and therefore God in the flesh

Four Main scriptures Jesus claims to be God:

Luke 4:21 And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham
was, I am
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one.”
Mark 14: 60 Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?”61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.
Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
62 “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
