Valley of Fire is located in the Mojave Desert in Nevada. It was named for the red sandstone formations, that can appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun. The formations of eroded sandstone and sand dunes are more than 150 million years old.

Recorded June 2015 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100.

Being a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada 35 years from 1970- 2005, I have been all through these same exact areas and loved it all. Several of my riding buddies and I have ridden our motorcycles through here, stopped and sat down for a break at the pavilion in the video, the BigHorn Sheep have nearly collided with us at different times. It's such a wonderful scenic area that cameras and video recorders can't duplicate actually being there as I'm sure the photographer will attest. One has to actually be there to appreciate the beauty of Southern Nevada and the Mojave Desert. Thank you for sharing these videos, they bring back some great memories.
