Crazy cat loves to be "harmlessly" hit

A cat owner demonstrates what happens every time he bangs around an empty cardboard tube. For some bizarre reason this cat comes running at the sound only to be repeatedly hit with the tube. Clearly the cat is enjoying it, but can anyone explain why?!
