How to Make Bread and Butter Pickles

Today we're going to show you how to make our quick and easy bread and butter pickles recipe. They're sweet, crunchy, and a perfect topping for any summer time meal. Ingredients: 2 lbs Pickling Cucumbers 1 Yellow Onion 1/2 Cup Kosher Sea Salt 2 lbs of Ice 2 1/2 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar 2 1/2 Cups of Granulated Sugar 1 tbsp Whole Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsps Whole Celery Seeds 3/4 tsps Ground Turmeric Mason Jars Start by cutting your cucumbers and onion into thin slices then place them into a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle on your salt and toss the mix. Add an equal amount of ice cubes to the large mixing bowl, toss once more, and let sit for 3 hours. In a large saucepan add your vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, celery seeds, and turmeric. Place on the stove and bring to a simmer. Drain and rinse your cucumber onion mix then add to the saucepan. Bring back to a simmer then remove from the stove, let cool for a few minutes, then place in your jars.
