Saint Francis of Assisi

Francis of Assisi (lived 1181 or 1182 to 1226) is the founder of the Franciscan Order, which was an order of monks devoted to poverty while also serving the poor. Saint Francis is considered to be the Patron Saint of animals, archaeologists, Italy, ecology, merchants, metal workers, and messengers.
