NARO RELEASES NEW MAIZE, POTATO AND RICE VARIETIES

National Agriculture Research Organization NARO has authorized the release of new grain and root crop varieties to the community.
The new Varieties are confirmed to be safe for both human consumption and commercial production.
According to Dr. Tony Obua a Member of the National Variety Release Committee, the breeding took between six to ten years for the new varieties to be released to the farmers.
