In this video we take a look at Hornby catalogue numbers R3276.

This is a London, Midland and Scottish Railway 4-4-0 Compound Steam Locomotive with a Fowler Tender in OO scale.
In this video I'll show you the model up close in detail, open it up and check out the mechanism, then show you it running on the test track.

I'll also make a recommendation if you should consider buying this model or not.

The Compound 4-4-0 locomotive, operated by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS), was specifically created for passenger transportation. The LMS constructed a total of 195 engines for this class, in addition to the 45 Midland Railway 1000 Class locomotives, which were nearly identical. One notable distinction was the smaller driving wheel diameter on the LMS version compared to the Midland Railway variant. These locomotives were taken out of service between 1952 and 1961. Sadly, none of them have been preserved, although the first of the Midland 1000 Class engines has survived.
