Fluoride in Tap Water is Lowering Your IQ

Stirling Cooper discusses the negative effects of fluoride on human health. Fluoride is commonly added to municipal water supplies under the belief that it promotes strong teeth and bones. Research conducted by Dr. Trenley Dean in the 1930s, found that water with a fluoride concentration of 1.0 parts per million offered some protection against dental issues. This led to the United States and several other nations implementing artificial water fluoridation processes.

Stirling explores the idea that fluoride consumption allows government organizations to control individuals more easily. He mentions a review commissioned by the US Environmental Protection Agency, which listed fluoride as one of about 100 chemicals with substantial evidence of developmental neurotoxicity. Animal experiments have indicated the accumulation of fluoride in the brain and its ability to alter mental behavior. More than 100 animal experiments demonstrate fluoride's potential to damage the brain and impact learning and behavior.

Several studies from China, Iran, India, and Mexico associate fluoride exposure with lower IQ. Each part per million increase in fluoride in urine is linked to a loss of 0.59 IQ points. Additionally, high doses of fluoride affect the male reproductive system, damaging sperm and increasing infertility rates. Circulating testosterone levels may also be reduced in males living in areas with high fluoride levels based on four studies. Another aspect he explores is fluoride's impact on the pineal gland, which regulates the circadian rhythm. Higher water fluoride levels are said to contribute to sleep disturbances and decreased melatonin production, potentially leading to various health issues.

Animal studies show fluoride's connection to earlier onset of puberty. Stirling advises listeners to avoid consuming tap water with fluoride by using a reverse osmosis water filter. He also suggests considering supplements such as tamarind, methionine, and vitamin E, which may help to excrete fluoride from the body.
