Due to relentless monsoon rains, thousands of residents in New Delhi have been compelled to evacuate their homes as floodwaters continue to rise, leading to overflowing rivers in and around the Indian capital.

As of Friday, the death toll has reached at least 91 individuals, and millions of lives have been severely disrupted due to the ongoing heavy rainfall, NBC News reported.

Officials in New Delhi have reported that water levels in the Yamuna River, a significant tributary of the Ganges, have reached the highest point in 45 years, according to Reuters.
