Sleepaway Camp is one of those movies that shows what can be done when characters meet creative kills. For this horror fan, the strength of this film has always been in teenage cast. They bring out the adolescent in all of us, that is before the killer tears out the guts in all of us. The lunacy of youthful angst combined with the situational comedy, it's no wonder that this Slasher film has lasted for 40 Years as a Cult Classic.
