Is that Barbed Wire I See? | Why Nicaragua Looks Unsafe to North Americans | Practicality over Looks

Vlog 8 July 2023 | A viewer made an awesome comment to me about how in some countries like Nicaragua or China, people tend to focus on things being "good enough" without a lot of effort generally put into making gardens, house sidings, parks or whatever pristine and manicured but more wild and natural. Whereas in the US, Canada or Western Europe careful lawn mowing and maintenance of wild spaces is a high priority. This changes the perception when we visit a place coming from one that prioritizes outward appearance over functionality and coming to one that prioritizes functionality over appearance. Our signals as to what is maintained or even safe can become confused.

Video note: The mic I was wearing didn't work and I had to use the sync audio from the straight GoPro 11 with no media kit. Sounds okay, but not my standard. Sorry about that.
